Getting Started with Para

Welcome to Para, your personal productivity system based on the PARA method.

What is Para?

Para helps you organize your digital life using the PARA method - a simple yet powerful organizational system created by Tiago Forte. PARA stands for:

  • Projects - Short-term efforts with a specific goal and deadline
  • Areas - Ongoing responsibilities you want to maintain
  • Resources - Topics or themes of ongoing interest
  • Archives - Inactive items from the other three categories

Creating Your First Project

  1. Click Projects in the navigation bar
  2. Click the New Project button
  3. Enter a title for your project
  4. Optionally add a description
  5. Click Create

Adding Tasks

Once you have a project:

  1. Open your project by clicking on it
  2. Go to the Tasks tab
  3. Click Add Task
  4. Enter the task title and details
  5. Set a due date if needed
  6. Click Create

Quick Actions

Use Quick Actions from the dashboard to rapidly add:
- Tasks
- Notes
- Files

Press Cmd+P to open the command palette for quick navigation.
